Agora ni Juana

Named after the heroine in the first Filipino novel written by the illustrado Pedro Paterno, Ninay (and her smaller version, Nenita) has grown to become BSK's trademark. Conceived in the 1990s by then BSK President Guia Gomez and renowned Filipiniana designer and fashion specialist, Patis Tesoro, the fabrication of Ninay and Nenita dolls, including their costume pieces has obtained support and funding from the Philippine national and local governments, particularly the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the City of San Juan and has been showcased in various trade fairs and exhibitions. Sales from the Ninay and Nenita dolls have also supported numerous families and communities that BSK has empowered, trained, and continuously mentored.
